Coils that are wound too loose or too tight can cause problems in subsequent production steps, but we have the most advanced tension equipment and monitoring sensors to wind coils to a precise degree of tightness for optimal performance.

We routinely slit coils of metal as wide as 60 inches or as narrow as 7/8 inch and tolerances as tight as +/-.010 inch with most standard gauge materials — and our high-precision equipment can work with materials as paper-thin as .008 inch. Our sophisticated in-tool slitting and complex tooling capabilities will meet your most demanding criteria for precision.

Big jobs that are over the top for other perforators are a piece of cake for McKey. Our high-capacity, state-of-the-art equipment can handle coils of up to 20,000 pounds, which is about what a semi-tractor weighs. Our engineers can work with your team to design and produce uniform and custom hole patterns that meet your exacting project specifications.
