A Case History - Food Processing
McKey has the ability to perforate a wide variety of materials utilized in the food processing industry. We meet critical exacting material specifications, including special shapes and omits. Perforation is accomplished with no burrs to compromise processed food.
We worked in partnership with an industrial roaster manufacturing company to develop perforated parts with a hole pattern and shape to compliment the company’s top of the line coffee roasters. Perforated stainless steel with extraordinarily tight tolerances covering a large surface area was critical for their roasters. They needed to certify the most amount of surface area and fastest airflow through their coffee roasters to ensure that we exceed industry standards. This is important for their customers’ controllability in delivering a superior cup of specialty roasted coffees.
It was with McKey Perforating that the company was able to partner and achieve these goals. This is truly a success story of two U.S. manufacturers coming together to engineer and deliver the highest quality of products for a global niche market.
